Aesop's Fables - The Hanged Man

Aesop's Fables - The Hanged Man

This is one of those fables I really took to heart as a child; it just seemed like the sort of thing that might really happen to me if I didn't watch out.

I think the important lesson here as it pertains to the Hanged Man is that we ought not trust our own intentions toward others when we're in a bind (metaphorically or otherwise). You aren't exempt from acting like a human being just because you're temporarily backed into a corner or swinging upside down; take that extra moment to reflect and gather yourself before you decide to inflict your "difficulties" on anyone else.
